Simple & Delicious Banana Pudding Cake by kb-thatsme 'recipe of the day' ....kicking up cake mix!!

I'm from the south & everyone I know loves banana pudding & cake. So the combination of the two desserts in one, is sure to please anyone who loves them as much as we do. For this delicious, simple cake there are a few things your gonna need.

For the cake:

1 box yellow cake mix (I use Duncan Hines)
2 tbsp banana extract
1 box 3.4 banana pudding mix
1 mashed banana
1 & 1/2 cup milk
3 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil

For filling & to frost cake:
1-2 bananas (sliced...optional)
1 box vanilla wafers
1 box 3.4 instant banana pudding mix
2 cup milk
1 small tub of cool whip
1 8 oz cream cheese (at room temp)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350
1.) Mix all cake ingredients together according to box instructions, including the instant pudding & banana extract. Pour into 2 9in baking pans. Bake 25 mins or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

2.) Make filling by adding milk and pudding together, mix until it begins to thicken. Add in cream cream cheese & blend until well combined.

3.) Assemble cake. Top 1st layer with pudding (just enough to cover layer), sliced bananas & vanilla wafers. Then add a little more pudding to cover bananas & cookies. Add second layer.

4.) Take remaining mix from filling and fold in Cool Whip then frost your cake and garnish as desire with vanilla wafer cookies.

Refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy!
