Korean Ice Cream anyone?
Hello fellow Steemians! 👋😊 And to the other foodies and food bloggers out there. It's the 2nd day of March and it is summer already here in the Philippines. The heat wave is on and as I heard from the news early this morning, the weather would be scorching hot as to exceed 35 degrees. The humidity near the city is relatively low and people are drenched in sweat.
But there are many methods to cool yourself and avoid exhaustion because of the heat. Many prefer to go to beaches (...could be my next topic to feature), others roam around malls or other air-ventilated places. But the best part of summer is to eat something cold or drink a refreshing iced beverage. Later on, I will be posting foods that are commonly bought during summer season here in the Philippines.
What I am featuring now is the Korean Ice Cream. Brands like Lotte, Pangtoa, Melona, Cledor and Samanco were commonly sold in Korean convenience stores and Korean Restaurants here in the Philippines. From popsicles, icicles, ice cream cones, ice cream sandwiches, ice jellies, ice lollies and yogurts, these are all Korean made. It doesn't differ much from our regular Magnolia, Selecta or Dan Eric's. The taste, the texture, the toppings, the flavors and even the fruits and nuts were all the same. Except for this one thing that caught my attention... Samanco's Ice Cream Wafer which is shaped like a fish. Really, I had to have a taste of it. I need to satisfy my curiosity by shoving it into my mouth and enjoy its uniqueness. So as not to prolong my agony, I bought a piece for only 45pesos and look what i've got...
Truly, it is satisfying. I enjoyed every bite of it. The crunchiness the wafer. The creaminess of the filling. The coldness of the ice cream. The temptation of its packaging label. So enticing! Lately, I have found out that I already finished my ice cream and was still craving for more. There are 3 available flavors - Strawberry, Chocolate and Red Bean. I have to taste them all. I need to try them all. But not all at once. And oh, did I mention that I have diabetes? Tsk tsk tsk. I should have limit myself and restrain from sweets.
That's it for today my fellow Steemians. I hoped you enjoyed reading thru my experience of having Korean Ice Cream. And please don't tell my doctor that I consumed much. Have a blessed day everyone! Till next adventures... 🍨🍧🍦
P.S. Should i bite the tail first or the head? What do you think? 😯
