도쿄, 오모테산도 'MARUYAMA COFFEE 마루야마 커피'

일반인들에게 '도쿄의 카페'라고 한다면 먼저 떠오르는 것은 블루보틀이겠지만
커피를 하는 사람들은 마루야마를 떠올리곤 한다.

최근 몇 년간의 챔피언들이 모두 이곳의 콩을 선택했을 정도로 질 좋은 생두를 수입하는 것으로 유명한 이곳은
작년 11월 서울에서 열린 '2017 World Barista Championship' 준우승자의 커피 수입사이기도 하다.

If people were told that cafes in Tokyo, they would first think Bluebottle
but barista thinks of Maruyama coffee before bluebottle
few of the Japanese champions here chose beans. Because they import good beans.
It is also the cource of coffee for the 2nd at last November's 2017 World Barista Championship in Seoul.

도쿄 내에 3개 정도의 지점이 있는데, 내가 간 곳은 오모테산도 점이었다.

이곳은 싱글 오리진(블랜딩이 되지 않은 단종커피) 을 전문으로 취급하는 매장이었는데
1층은 테이크아웃 전용 bar , 2층은 마시고 가는 사람들을 위한 장소로 구분되어 있다.

First floor is for takeaway only. second floor is the place to drink.

기본적인 음료와 디저트가 있는 메뉴판 하나와 마치 신문처럼 보이는 커피 리스트를 준다.
언뜻 보기에도 서른 개가 넘어가는 커피가 구비되어있다는 점이 놀라웠다.

They gave me a drink and dessert basic menu and bean menus that looked like a newspaper.
AT first glance, the beans looked more than thirty so it was surprising

사이펀과 프렌치프레스가 있는데, 따로 요청이 없으면 프렌치프레스로 서브되는 것 같다

They have siphone and french press. if you don't ask, ues a french press.

내가 주문 한 것은
이곳에서 가장 고가의 원두였던 온두라스 C.O.E.(Cup of Excellence) 1st place와 디저트 baked chocolate
보통 프렌치프레스로 커피를 추출하면, 미분이 걸러지지 않아 텁텁해지기 마련인데
감안하더라도 꽤나 깨끗하게 먹을 수 있는 커피였다.
역시 1위.
캐릭터가 제대로 느껴지지 않아 아쉬웠지만 그래도 만족스러운 커피였다.

디저트는 아주 뻑뻑했는데, 커피의 산미와 어우러짐이 좋아서 라즈베리 초콜릿을 먹는 듯한 느낌이 들었다.
그래도 너무 뻑뻑해서 조금 남기고 나왔다.

what i ordered was the most expensive Honduras C.O.E no1 beans and baked chocolate.
french press coffee is not feel fresh at all, because of fine coffee powder. but it was quite a clear coffee
it was the 1st
a little too bad that the character was weak

Dessert was good on coffee but a little stiff.
