Food Porn #01 : Bohol's Pride Puso & Barbeque

in #food7 years ago

Last night's dinner at our favorite place to eat, a simple beside the street and an open air place we called it locally as Barbequehan.

Tasty food like street food style, ordered "Puso" or in English it's called as Hanging Rice and a sort of grilled Chicken meat & pork.

Puso (hanging rice) is a dish originating from the province of Cebu in the Philippines, a local form of the Ketupat found in other parts of the Malay world. It consists of rice wrapped in coco leaves which is then boiled. It is served by slicing the coco leaves in half exposing the rice. Puso rice pieces are strung together and servers just cut them off and slice them in half for serving, hence the term “hanging rice. Source: cebu-tourism.techcellar.net

Why do we love to eat in a Barberquehan eatery?

No fork & spoon needed on this place you only need your 2 hands to eat. It's like eating in your own home.

It's more food in the Philippines, local grilled food such as internal organs of chicken or we called it as Inihaw na isaw ng manok.

How to make inihaw na isaw ng manok? If you want to try this kind of recipe you can refer to this link for the complete instruction https://www.gmanetwork.com/entertainment/tv/idolsakusina/15995/how-to-make-inihaw-na-isaw-ng-manok-isaw-ng-baboy-at-tenga-ng-baboy/story

Filipino's are creative in such a unique way, I believed this Puso or Hanging Rice is only in the Philippines.

So, if you're from other nationality lives outside the Philippines and wanted to try what Puso taste like I suggest you should try making it here's a video on how to make one

this is tastier than rice cooked in a rice cooker. Try it!
