Food culture in Siargao, Philippines

in #food6 years ago

The surfing capital of the Philippines, Siargao. Known to be the underground paradise in the Philippines with multiple virgin islands that is yet to be developed. Other than the big waves, night life, and awesome people, Siargao is also popular with its unique cuisine.

From breakfast to dinner, you can experience a variety of food choices.

When it comes to breakfast, a couple of my top choices are:

If you are a health-conscious kind of person, Shaka is the one for you. Located along the street of General Luna, near cloud nine. It has a broad menu on healthy smoothie on top with the fruit of your choice. It also serve local coffee, hot or iced.

Another breakfast choice is

Bake Siargao. Also located along General Luna street. It serves large serving of western breakfast and their signature brewed coffee. This cafe is owned by our very own Miss Universe Philippines 2017, Rachel Peters.

During lunch, the best way to indulge with food is to serve it on an island. 35D47435-D007-46E3-8FF6-C41C3BD594EA.png
When experiencing island hopping, Daku island is the perfect place to have lunch. You can choose anything from pork, chicken, beef, vegetables, and ofcourse seafoods. To avoid losing your figure, make sure to capture first your instagrammable pictures on the island before eating because the lunch here is a FEAST!

Now let’s move to the dinner part. My personal favorite goes to Kermit Surf Resort Siargao. Also located along General Luna street. This restaurant has the best pasta, pizza, and seafoods in town. Serving Italian cuisine with a touch of Filipino. Also, Perfect for our vegetarian friends because they also serve a vast choices of salad.

All in all, the food experience in Siargao is beyond perfection. A must to all food enthusiasts!
