Landang In The Holy Week!

What to eat this holy week? Hmmm I have something that you might like. It's called Landang here in philippines, it is a dessert soup here in philippines. My family usually cooks landang because we dont it meat during the lenten season. So I will be showing you how to cook landang with my own recipe.

Ingredients :
6 cups of coconut milk
3 cups of water
1 cup of sago
2-3 cups of landang
1/2 kilo of weet potato
3/4 kilo of saba banana
1/2 kilo of brown sugar

Instructions :

  1. Wash and peel the sweet potato and banana

  2. After that cut them to cubes and mix them together

  3. Get your landang and rinse it properly.

  4. Add 3 cups of water in the sliced banana and sweet potato and let it boil for 20-30 mins under medium heat until tender. Important (ocassionally stir it every 5 mins. ).

  5. When the sweet potato is tender enough add the sago stir it. After a minute add the brown sugar next.

  6. Check if the brown sugar has dissolved properly. And add the coconut milk. Stir it ocassionally every minute. And let it boil for 5-10 minutes under medium heat

Bon Appetit! You can now have a taste of your newly cooked landang. It is good for 6-7 people.
