Tour de LOBSTER ROLL!
WHO DOESN'T LOVE LOBSTER ROLLS?!
Over the course of last summer I traveled up and down the New England coastline eating some of the greatest lobster rolls known to man-kind. Whether you like it hot with butter or cold with mayo, a lobster roll is a classic delicacy of the New England summer. Here I will show you where you can get some of the best!
The Clam Shack, Kennebunkport Maine
The Clam Shack is a must stop if you are visiting Kennebunkport. Their lobster roll is a hybrid like I have never seen. Served on a round roll, this lobster roll has both mayo and butter! Who say's you can't have both?!
Lenny & Joe's Fishtale, New Haven, Connecticut
Lenny & Joe's Fishtale sits on the New Haven Harbor and features the classic CT style hot with butter lobster roll loaded with tail meat. We know New Haven has the pizza... but WE LOVE LOBSTER.
Sesuit Harbor Cafe, Dennis, Massachusetts
This was a coldy but a goody! And it came with some of the best cole-slaw I ever had. Sitting on a Cape Cod harbor, this is a classic New England seafood joint.
The Canteen, Provincetown, Massachusetts
If you make it all the way to the tip of Cape Cod you will find your self in a tiny little bustling town with a great lobster roll. The Canteen serves it up both ways. This one was hot with butter.
The Beach Plum, Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Last but certainly not least (this thing was loaded) was this 10 ouncer from the Beach Plum. This was an absolute massive lobster roll, served cold. The Beach Plum also has a wonderful ice cream selection for dessert.
