Most meals are improved with a correct accompaniment such as a good sauce/gravy. Given that's tonight dinner was chicken schnitzel which depending on how I am feeling may have a chilli based sauce, or a BBQ sauce, or a plum sauce, or something else.
The problem i had was that there was nothing suitable that had a bit of heat (ran out of the Nando's sauce). So what to do? After checking the fridge, I decided to make a sauce using the following.Spicy Capsicum dip, Mayonnaise, Cayenne pepper, and Chilli flakes. The end result is below.
It did quite well, not perfect, maybe a few more Chilli flakes next time along with a splash of Worcestershire sauce. Mind you I will probably feel like something completely different next time. What's you favorite sauce for chicken?
Always good when you can combine a few condiments together to make some kind of impromptu sauce to go with your current dish.
Sometimes that is how amazing sauces come to be.
