because not ALL the criteria have been fulfilled...
I have let it slide this time around, but simply cannot continue to support
the entries if they don't fulfill ALL the criteria in future.

So, on that note - I have decided to put the "boring details"
at the beginning of this post again and have shared the featured entries
afterward...

INTRODUCING THE #WHATSCOOKINGCHALLENGE

THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE CHALLENGE

In addition to being a complete wine glutton hehe, I am also a HUGE foodie as my @steemitbloggers family know well… I absolutely LOVE to cook (and eat...lol) - always experimenting with different ingredient and flavour combinations. I seldom follow recipes verbatim – most of the time, I will whizz through them, glancing briefly at the ingredients and method – then heading off to the supermarket, forgetting most of what I have read on the recipe and then improvising,
ending up with something totally awesome and unique!

I know how much I love pushing the boundaries and experimenting in the kitchen, no matter how outlandish the ideas may seem to others. I also love to learn from others and then adapt the ideas to my own tailored tastes. So I thought it would be awesome to see how creative other people get in their kitchens... whether it is a "pimp'd" toasted cheese sandwich or a "rebel" gourmet appetiser.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Yes, here comes the boring recipe part
with rules and boundaries... JUUUST KIDDING!

Mussels Marinara

My easiest memory of eating mussels was with my parents at Luigi’s, an Italian Restaurant in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. The mussels were served on the half shell topped with marinara sauce. Now many, many years later mussels in marinara sauce is still my favorite. Making the sauce from scratch at home is easy and well worth the effort.

Gift From the Sea "Stir Fried Sea Mussels"

Our small city is surrounded by the sea and fresh sea food can be purchased everyday at our local market. Among these are the sea mussels which is called Tahong in our native dialect. Our province is known for the abundance of sea mussels and oysters. Out of the abundance gave birth to a lot of recipes and products made from mussels and oysters. Today let's have fun, have a short trip to the market with me and see what we can come up with a small tub of mussels.
