Edible mural for experimental potluck
Check out this communal mural created from FOOD!
We did this for an experimental potluck called Appetite Obscure where people bring not just dishes, but how the diners will experience and eat them. For our dish, we invited people to make a mural together, and to eat it as they did so.
This is what it looked like at the end of the night:
The background is injera, an Ethiopian dough made from teff flour. We brought all kinds of yummy, different-colored things for people to play with:
- popcorn
- lentils
- rice
- lettuce
- carrot
- tomato
- sesame seeds
- snap peas
- sriracha
- purple cauliflower
The resulting bites were unpredictable, a result of people's color and texture choices more than expected flavor combinations.
