Medium sized apple contains 4.4 grams of fiber. If you throw the peel, you'll end up with just 2.1 grams of fiber. That's why we should eat unpeeled apples.

4)An apple, together with its peel, prevents weight gain
Ursic acid can be found in apple skin. This acid is a compound that is essential for the fight against obesity. Ursic acid burns calories and thus reduces the risk of overweight.
5)Apple peel can even prevent cancer
The study, conducted in 2007 at the University of Cornelles, concluded that compounds called terpenes, which are in the apple cider, are able to prevent or kill existing cancer cells in laboratory conditions. These compounds are particularly effective against colorectal cancer, liver and breast cancer.
