Serious Sausages at the Gartenstadt Restaurant

I went for a beer and a bite with a colleague yesterday. We decided on the Gartenstadt German Beerhouse and Restaurant on Dong Khoi in the centre of Saigon. This place has recently undergone a redevelopment which has seen it double in size. The beers were great and we decided to have some traditional German food. I don't always eat a lot of meat but was definitely in the mood.

We went for the Sausage platter, it looked good on the photo but when it arrived we were blown away be the size of it. It was huge. To big guys with big appetites and we couldn't finish it. There were 9 different sausages, served with delicious roasted potatoes, red cabbage and of course sauerkraut. It really was a cracking feast.

I have been developing the InSeAsia website for three years. It genuinely is a labour of love. I have lived in Southeast Asia for 9 years and have no plans to ever leave.
