Weight loss Checklist – Top Tips For Staying Slim

It is so easy to slip back into your old eating habits once you've reached your weight loss goal. Many people tend to believe that healthy eating changes were only temporary options, and not lifelong decisions.

As soon as I notice a pound or two slipping on a round my stomach, I grab hold of my Easy Weight Loss Checklist and focus on the key concepts for getting me back into shape. This checklist provides plenty of powerful tips for changes you can make that help you reduce belly fat.

What is an Weight Loss Checklist?

Drink plenty of water every day. Keep your body well hydrated by drinking 6-8 glasses of water every day. Water helps flush your system of waste products and toxins. You can very easily mistake thirst for hunger, so before you grab something to eat in between meals drink a glass of water.

Don't skip meals. It's essential to eat 5 times a day. Eat smaller meals, and more frequent. By eating more often, you'll have more energy, you will not suffer hunger pangs, and you'll keep your metabolism burning all day. If you skip meals your body switches to starvation mode. Then your metabolism slows down, your body will burn fewer calories and store fat.

Eat a variety of healthy foods. You can't lose belly fat if you eat processed foods all the time. Anything that comes, boxed, canned, precooked and frozen, are classed as processed foods. These foods are unhealthy and fulled with fats and calories. Eat plenty of fruit, vegetables, lean meats, poultry, fish, seafood, eggs, bean, legumes, raw nuts and seeds.

Control portion sizes. It is so easy to eat more food than what you need. Healthy eating is not about strict meal plans; instead, you can eat plenty of foods but in sensible portion sizes. Try eating off a smaller size plate, this gives you the effect of having a full plate.

Eat soup or salad as a starter. Starting your meal with soup or a salad is ideal, they are both full of water and fiber. You will feel full and this will keep you from eating something oversized or high in calories late on.

Eat slowly and enjoy every mouthful. Don't eat fast! Chew you food and eat slowly. Do not eat while you're watching television, you will most probably end up eating more or worse, start picking sweet or salty high calorie food products.

Reduce your salt / sodium intake. Most people consume more salt, and sodium than they need. Sodium makes us retain water. Try to use spices, herbs, and salt-free seasoning blends in your meals.

Prepare weekly menus. Plan a variety of healthy daily meals in advance. This is the best way to ensure you get all the vital nutrients from foods that your body needs to function. Once you have your weekly menu, you can then create your shopping list. Not only will you save time but also you will be less tempted to buy quick processed food products when you enter the grocery shop.

Avoid eating junk food. Or eat in moderation. Reduce belly fat by eating healthy foods! Junk food / fast food are so tempting to eat; also, they are full of fat and loaded with calories. Think sensible and eat in moderation. If you eat half a thin crust pizza, that's a meal. Or a slice of cake, instead of the whole cake can be treat every so often.

Avoid soda drinks. Try not to drink sodas they contain so much sugar and extra calories.

Limit Alcohol Intake. Alcoholic drinks contain calories, so if you want to lose weight or maintain your ideal weight, drink in moderation.

Weigh yourself on a regular basis. The best strategy to control your ideal weight is to weigh yourself regularly. Weigh yourself when you first get up in the morning. Its easy to step on the scale but hard to lose weight once its slipped on. If you really want to keep your stomach flat, then keep track of your weight.

Move more and exercise often. Definitely keep in mind that the more amount physical activity you put into practice, the greater amount of calories you are going to burn. Therefore, if you increase your physical activity, you will have an easy weight loss.

If you've struggled to shed weight, then you know how hard it is to reduce belly fat. If you follow this check list constantly, I'm sure you will succeed staying slim. So stick this Easy Weight Loss Checklist on your fridge door or in some place where you will constantly see it. I have come to the conclusion that the fastest way to lose weight and keep a flat stomach, is by making sure the fat doesn't creep back on.
