Enjoying a Glass of Es Teler (Ice-Jazzed)

in #food8 years ago (edited)

During the day was hot, my husband and me have just come from the family house, to accompany the day, I invited him to stop at a cool spot, more exactly a café. This cafe provides a range of drinks, such as mix ice, cendol, and fruit ice.

I asked the cafe owner, any existing menu, after seeing some of the menu, I was interested to order a glass of Es Teler. "Teler" in English is "Jazzed", is not an appellation with the true meaning. Usually stoned is giddy like after smoking marijuana or taking drugs. But "teler/jazzed" here is more meaningful to the sense of unease that is obtained from the glass of 'es teler.'

The cold ice combined with various types of fruit, making this a very enjoyable drink during the day, or when we feel tired and hot.

In one glass of Es Teler, contains:

  • Pieces of avocado
  • Pieces of sapodilla fruit
  • Pieces of jackfruit
  • Pieces grass jelly
  • Pieces of bread
  • Grated of young coconut
  • Sugar palm fruit
  • Corn
  • Green beans
  • Peanuts
  • Pieces of gelatin

The water is made using coconut milk that has been cooked, then mixed with melted chocolate, as well as the water use palm sugar as a sweetener. Collaboration all the ingredients to make anyone who drank a glass of ice jazzed will feel refreshed. You can try it.

This drink is very popular in Indonesia and in Aceh, but it is also found in neighboring countries, such as Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, and Cambodia. Maybe this time the ice jazzed of this type already widely sold in cafes in the world.
