If you're traveling down the 80/94 Expressway (runs East/West in upper Indiana) near the Indiana/Illinois border and you need to stop for a bite to eat, may I suggest The Wheel?
I'm telling you...this place will surely satisfy what you're craving. Not only is the menu extensive, but everything on it is absolutely fantastic. There's a reason why this restaurant is always happening - even late at night. No matter the time, The Wheel Restaurant is always open. That's right, The Wheel Restaurant is open 24 hours!
The Split Pea Soup is phenomenal...honest! 
The Greek Salad is very fulfilling, even with anchovies!
The Gyro Dinner is what keeps me coming back.
This entree is a definite "Must Try"!Location
On the north side of the 80/94 Expressway, take Exit 1 North. Keep your eyes open and stay alert because The Wheel Restaurant is very close. The Wheel Restaurant is one of the many fine eating establishments Hammond, Indiana has to offer. Take it from me, I've pretty much eaten at all of them!
