Sunday Special : Mutton Biriyani

Hi Steemians

This is my first attempt of preparing biriyani for a larger crowd. Biryani, also known as biriyani, biriani, birani or briyani, is a South Asian mixed rice dish with its origins among the Muslims of the Indian subcontinent. It is popular throughout the Indian subcontinent and among the diaspora from the region.

There are plenty of varities in biriyani.

Hydrabadi dum biriyani
Ambur Biriyani
Vaniyambadi Biriyani
Dindigul thalappakatti biriyani
Mohal biriyani,. etc

Today we tried to prepare usual biriyani with Seeraga samba Rice and Mutton.

Here are the ingredients

Paste

Onion paste 300 gm
Tomato paste 350 gm
Ginger Garlic paste 150 gm

Seasoning

Clove 3
Cinnamon 2
Elachi 3
Biriyani leaves

Other items

Coriander Leaves
Mint Leaves
Seeraga Samba Rice
Biriyani powder
Green Chilly

Here are the steps

  1. Warmth the oil in weight cooker and include cinnamon stick, straight leaf and onion. Broil it until the point when onions are brilliant darker in shading and include sheep pieces. Cook Mutton for around 5 minutes on high warmth.

  2. At that point include ginger-garlic glue and cook it on moderate warmth for around 5 more minutes or till oil indicates independently. cardamom dark colored, cardamom green, cloves, some water to make a fine glue. At that point include red bean stew powder and coriander powder in it.

  3. Include this ground glue and salt to weight cooker alongside 1 glass of water. Close the cooker and cook on high warmth till 1 shriek and afterward keep the fire low and cook for around 10-12 minutes or until the point when Mutton cooked legitimately.

  4. Bubble 1 and 1/2 liter water alongside every one of the fixings under the table " Ingredients for rice". At that point include splashed rice into the water.

  5. Cook the rice till ¾ done and after that deplete in the colander. In a similar skillet oil with some oil.

  6. At that point put half amount of semi-cooked rice and place cooked Mutton Masala and seared onion on rice as appeared beneath n the photo.

  7. Put remaining semi-cooked rice on the highest point of sheep as a moment layer. Break up nourishment shading in 2 teaspoons of drain and sprinkle over rice. Sprinkle some more seared onion, Khushbu Masala and almonds.

  8. Cook secured on high warmth for around 1 minutes at that point keep the fire low and cook for around 15 more minutes till the rice cooked legitimately. Sheep biryani is prepared, serve hot with raita.

Yay.. biriyani is ready...

and this sunday went well with mutton biriyani.
