What are the benefits of cheat meals & When do you need them?

Hello dear friends

Most often we can hear that if you are on diet, you need to eat some cheat meals from time to time. But why is it like that? IF we try to lose fat and drop weight why is it important to eat something unhealthy?

First of all, I want to ask you this:


If you every day eat fast food and unhealthy food, will one day of eating healthy food make you skinny and healthy?

The answer is NO!
So you don't need to be afraid to eat one unhealthy meal from time to time, it can be only good for you and your progress.

Having cheat meals can have a lot of benefits

Firstly, when we are on strong diets with low calories and carbs intake, results at the beginning will be good, but later they will be slower and slower. or there would not be any results at all.
That is because of that your metabolism will slow down and because of a possible hormonal disbalances body will not lose fat anymore, but we can lose muscles. That is because of the hormone cortisol which can be caused because of a long time in deficit.

When this happens, cheat meal can help us a lot. Firstly, with cheat meal we will boost up your metabolism because body will get a lot of calories from one meal what will be a shock for the whole metabolism so he needs to react and speed up.

How often do you need cheat meal?

Well, it's hard to say like this because everybody is different and it depends on lots of things like genetics, body type, height, weight... But let's say that once per week is the best to have a cheat meal.

Take one day, let's say Sunday and for the last day of Sunday you can eat whatever you want and you love the most. That will fill you with more energy for upcoming new week and will boost your metabolism
Also, cheat meal will give you "mental power"... It is not easy to stay strong in your hand during all that hard low calories diets. Some reset, like a cheat meal, is necessary for staying on track for a long ride.

Personaly my favorite cheat meal is pizza or icecream.



Be careful with your cheat meals and don't allow yourself to make it into cheat week :D
