RE: The Scoop on Yogurt, Part 2 (Why we ONLY eat homemade yogurt)

in #food7 years ago

I was in the grocery store recently and walked down the "yogurt" aisle- YES! My grocery store has one ENTIRE aisle dedicated to yogurt. I WAS speechless! There must have been a hundred if not more different brands, kinds and flavors.

When I was growing up there was Dannon... and Dannon.. And more Dannon.

Now there's one for this.. one for that.. one for a combination of this and that.. and let's not forget the ones for this, that AND the other.

Really? (sigh)

I am continually surprised by the presence of the Yogurt Aisle. The crazy thing is, though they still sell yogurt as a health food, much of that Aisle yogurt is so full of sugar and preservatives that I think it must thwart any good benefit the yogurt could have had.

I know!!! People REALLY need to read labels.
I took my li'l gal to the vet today and they asked what she eats... treats...
I said, I make my own. I don't trust commercial brands... the vet applauded me! lol
