FRIED CARROT CHIPS
Wow your tastebud with this easy-to-prepare, but yet tantalising fried carrot chips and you'll be glad you did!!!
Hi dear,
I hope you are enjoying this spectacular platform as much as I am doing? Once again it is my pleasure to share one of my favourite recipes; fried carrot chips! This is indeed a dish that can be enjoyed by anyone including our fellow vegan and vegetarian steemians.
I love carrots so dearly that I can eat them either fresh or convert them into diverse ways for some really good results. The sight of fresh carrots each time I visit the farmers market or grocery shops usually glues me to the vegetable section for a couple of minutes.
Yes, the freshness, colourful appearance and of course the nutritious composition of this special root vegetable are the reasons I will never neglect my carrots. Of course, you wouldn't want to have anything to do with those carrots that are already going halfway soft before purchase as they tend to get spoilt within few days. I usually buy my carrots in large quantity, peel and cut them up into my desired shapes and then store them in the freezer for convenience whenever I need to use them for a quickie meal. My rule of thumb is to inspect the carrots properly before purchasing them since they will be stored up in the freezer for a long time.
I encourage you to inspect your carrots properly before purchase, stay away from slimy carrots, stay away from rubbery soft carrots and finally, don't even get closer to the rotten ones 🤣
As part of my veggies-adventure, I thought it right to convert some fresh carrots lying around in my kitchen into some appetising fried carrot chips. Despite the fact that it took me some couple of minutes to peel and cut the carrots into my desired shapes, I must attest that all the efforts I invested were not in vain.
Well, I just washed the carrots first, peeled them with a peeler and then cut them up into tiny shapes that have similar appearance like potato chips. This is one thing I love about food blogging - having the opportunity to experiment with whatever you have around. That sense of creativity is what thrills me so much about what I do and I am so happy about it.
One thing I love about carrots is that I can either eat them fresh, steamed, boiled, cooked, fried or even paired with other main meals. When I decided to fry these carrot chips, I knew outrightly that the outcome wouldn't be a bad one at all and I was right. It might sound boring to fry carrots but I can assure you that it is my unique way of being a lil bit adventurous with these cutie root veggies.
The preparation is pretty simple! Once you have the carrots washed, peeled and cut accordingly, then add salt to your taste, toss them and fry them up in a preheated frying oil. Just As Simple As That!!!
But you shouldn't go overboard and add excess salt as that is not good enough for your health.
This fried carrot chips recipe for sure has entered the list of my all time favourite recipes and I have no doubts that you will agree with me once you try it out.
To try this recipe, you will need:

These look so good! Great share! Probably I'm they only Belgian who doesn't love french fries, but love veggie fries! My favorites are parsnip fries!
Thanks for your compliments. I eat french fries sparingly and I was thrilled the very first day I came up with parsnip fries. What a small world - I never knew that someone else has tried parsnip fries too 😁
I had some parsnips lying around in my kitchen and I had the inspiration to fry them like french fries and see what the outcome will be. I did and I must say that it was just phenomenal. It has a sweet distinctive taste and even tastes better than French fries and from that day onward, it has become one of my favourite fries. Many thanks for your support.
We actually love them so much that my hubby brought me some parsnips from Europe recently. No parsnips in SE-Asia it seems! :( Totally missed that post, love it! Looks amazing with the avocado. Thanks for sharing ;)
That sounds interesting. You guys are really missing out if there are no parsnips in SE-Asia. Anyways, enjoy every bit of the ones your hubby brought back home.
When next you prepare this, try them out with avocado and I am sure you'll enjoy the pair.
Cheers
I sure will... parsnips he brought are long gone :( maybe I should start growing my own!
Ok. Sounds like a good idea 👍
