RE: Grandpa Gotta Eat—Food And Me: A Walk To Remember
I find it amazing that a lot of our childhood memories can and do revolve around food. Children don't seem to be that interested in it. They'll eat, but not in a formal way and they seem to be all over the place doing it. When you get a little older, it's a little bit different. There's more sitting at the table, but there's a lot of talking or other distractions that don't seem to involve the enjoyment of a meal. Yet, here were are remembering all the great food more than necessarily the circumstances for it.
I don't know that I would end up going Vegan or even Vegetarian completely, but there are plenty of reasons to do it, and some of us are just set up so we like certain tastes and textures, and then of course, there's the way it all makes us feel. So, I'm glad you were able to make the food choices that best fits your needs and wishes. Better to be as happy as you can be with your food than miserable all the time.
You are so right! I also had difficulties to sit down at the table and finish my meals yet here I am thinking about how delicious they were and looking forward to go home soon to eat them again :)
I understand. I never judge anybody as I think it is a personal choice. For me the ethical part was always on my mind but I liked meat so I was always looking for excuses not to do it. As you as, it's better to be happy with your choices than miserable all the time :)
Have a great Sunday!
