Lovely Quiche Lorraine with salmon and broccoli - my first recipe on Steemit!
Hello, my dear friends!
Now, when you know a bit about myself, I would love to share my favorite dishes with you. I was in France couple of times, and the pastry has been my obsession during the stay. Freshly baked bread, sweet pastry, quiches with different filling – things I can’t imagine France without! Try this easy making quiche with classical filling to share with your friends!
For the pastry
- 175g plain flour
- 100g cold butter cut into pieces
- 1 egg yolk
For the filling
· 200g pack smoked or salty salmon
· 50g Hard cheese · 200ml sour crème
· 200ml Philadelphia cheese 3%
· 200 g of unfrosen broccoli
· 3 egg well beaten · pinch ground nutmeg
Method
1. For the pastry, put the flour, butter, egg and 4 tsp cold water into a bowl. Mix pastry with your hands until smooth and even, cover it with plastic and put it to the fridge for 30 minutes. Line a 23 cm diameter pan. Role the pastry, trim the pastry edges so it sits slightly above the tin. Press the pastry into the flutes, lightly prick the base with a fork. Put a baking sheet above the pastry and put the dry beans on it, then put in the oven with heat 200 degrees and bake for 12 minutes, then remove the beans and baking sheet and bake for additional 6 minutes.
2. Remove the baked base, and let it stay for a bit aside.
3. Using a spoon, beat the sour crème, Philadelphia cheese and eggs. Add a nutmeg and grated cheese.
4. Put the broccoli and salmon on the base and pour the cheesy mixture on it. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes on the 180 degree heat.
5. Let the Quiche cool down completely before removing it from the tin!
6. Enjoy!!!
