When Feeding the Homeless is Illegal, Feeding the Homeless is the Honorable Option!
We've been feeding tens of thousands of meals a year for free for almost a decade.
We do this every single day and in many ways: we feed countless volunteers, cater epic events, cook for the firemen, and give groceries to single mothers & families, but one of the most rewarding and profound ways for us to share food is to go out into the city and feed the homeless.
In the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex where we live, it is actually illegal to feed homeless people without first complying with a costly set of regulations and restrictions.
That is absolutely absurd, just totally and completely ridiculous!!
Sometimes we use our outreach to not only get food to people in need, but to educate others on the reality of our American society. We don't agree with that system, so we live the change we want to see in the world. There is nothing honorable about obeying unjust laws!
There's more than enough of everything, and it is our duty, right, honor, and privilege to share it with our brothers and sisters.

Thank you for the recognition, @zeidlitwhips. The homeless situation is just one example of how arbitrary rules and regulations are not in the best interest of humanity. We're not ones to fit ourselves into systems that do not truly support, and there's no need to lower our standards. We'll just set a better example!
You're welcome @gardenofeden, you've put it very well. This rules and regulations are from the corrupt elites to keep the normal folks at a tight grip but it's all collapsing around them currently. We should all strive to improve our humanity in order to become better citizens of the world and lend a helping hand to the less fortunate. Cheers 👍
I"m grateful that even when it seems like we are sharing only a hot and welcomed meal, it is also true that we are sharing hope, attention, and love. So many homeless respond with such gratitude for someone just caring enough to spend their day taking them something to nourish their bodies. The caring lasts way longer than a meal. Often we have seen the same people on the streets feeding after feeding. They remember us, and are excited to see us return to share the love. Blessed to be a part of this community where making the world a better place is of high priority. Thanks for the post @gardenofeden.

There's no place to fish. You can't farm in a city.
People are trapped, and can't just leave on their own. They don't have resources to set up farms or other means of production.
They've had a tough life, and their mental landscape is not conducive to learning to fish.
Sometimes they just need help, and there's nothing you can do to help them except lessen their burden.
