Coconut Oil in Snack Foods

The interest in coconut oil, in particular, has grown in popularity in the last few years in the snack food industry. For example, a snack manufacturer in USA has now released a new potato chip made with coconut oil instead of the standard canola, soybean or even sunflower oil. These new products like potato chips — that traditionally would have nothing to do with coconuts — meet the growing fascination that healthy consumers have with this coconut superfood. There are many snack food industry that have been replaced their old oil with coconut oil because of consumers’ interest in healthy lifestyle.
