Mexican Cuisine from Ancient Times

Mexican Cuisine has been with us for more than two thousand years, If you believe in God you might as well believe in the Mexican God Huitchilopoxtli, which was the God of Gods who killed all of the other Gods from Mexico.

Before I go talking about Mexican Gods, lets talk food.

In a prehispanic Mexico (Before the Spanish Came), there was an abundance of food and cuisine in Mexico that the French would be envious, they had 4 things in their food basket and it was: Corn, Chile, Zuchini and Tomato, and with these ingredients you would be able to cook the world.

In Mexico we have a saying "Todos somos hijos del Maiz" (We are all children made from Corn), Mexico was able to utilize the ingredients they had and exploit them to the highest level.

I´m leaving some images from my house while making the most beautiful plates from prehispanic Mexico, some are made with crickets, some are made with Rabbit and some are plain chicken, but the textures, aromas and taste are amazing.
