Apple Pie - Simple & Delicious
I have accumulated egg yolks over the past week, so I was looking for another way to use them. Since I had some apples I decided to make a pie. It turned out to be very delicious with a little ( or a lot ) of cream on the side.
Ingredient:
300g plain flour
5 cooked egg yolks
250g butter
100g icing sugar
500g pealed and sliced apples
1tsp cinnamon
3tbsp sugar
juice of 1 lemon
Method:
Combine flour, egg yolks, butter and icing sugar in a mixer until comes
together in a dough,
wrap it in a glad wrap and place it in the fridge for one hour.
In the meanwhile cook apples in 2 cups of water, lemon juice and
sugar for 30 minutes on low.

Preheat oven in 190c.
After 1 hour roll half of the pastry and place into a baking tray.

Blind bake it for 25 min and then take it out and bake it for another 15 min.
After that time place drained apple mixture and top up with strips of pasty.
Bake it until golden brown, should be around 20 min.

All you have to do now is whip some cream and make yourself a cup of coffee.
