Dare to Caste? This Extreme Food from the Philippines is Like a White Worm
HELLOOOO STEEMIANS !
This one extreme culinary comes from the Philippines, a long white worm that the way of eating is sipped.
This extreme food is called Tamilok. Tamilok can be found in Aklan and Palawan provinces. Tamilok is a type of white molluscs that are long in size. Eat alive, this white mollusk has a slightly slimy soft texture. They feed on rotting woods that are submerged in mangroves in the islands of Palawan.

The length of this animal can reach 12 inches or about 30 cm. Although eaten raw, but people in Palawan will remove the head and legs. Then dipped in lemon or lemon juice and immediately eaten.
Tamilok is often referred to as woodworms by tourists, but it is not. The woodworms tend to be larval-like shapes that will later develop into beetles, whereas tamilok is a mollusk.

Eaten fresh, it turns out many tourists who like it. Although disgusting, but tamilok contains iron, calcium, zinc, vitamin A and also vitamin B12.
