It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Which means it’s time to give some of my dessert recipes a holiday makeover. I’m actually considering creating a new category on my website dedicated completely to holiday recipes. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Easter, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day and of course Christmas. In the meantime, you should definitely give this puppy chow recipe a try. The original recipe is simple enough as it is with only FOUR ingredients required. Peanut butter, chocolate chips, Chex cereal and powdered sugar. And as you can see from the pictures, it’s also incredibly EASY to transform this into a nice holiday treat. All you do is add a bag of red and green M&Ms! You can also add crushed candy canes for some diversity in appearance and taste.

I can’t emphasize enough how easy and fast this dessert is to put together! It’ll probably take you about 10 minutes from start to finish. It also stores really well for several days in an airtight container or even a Ziploc bag. This makes it a great choice for holiday mason jar gifts.
