Gimbahp- a delicious Korean food
Gimbahp 김밥 is a very popular and healthy food here in Korea.
It's great for a quick bite or to eat while on the go. It can also be a filling meal when had with soup and other side dishes.
Although you can put just about anything you want into gimbahp today I will tell you what was used
Ingredients:
carrots-당근
cucumbers-오이
egg-계란
ham-햄
radish-무
crab-게
fish cake or Ohdeng -오뎅
spiced burdock-양념우엉
sesame oil (used to moisten the seaweed/laver to make cutting easier)-참기름
seaweed/laver (the 'gim' 깁 part of 'gimbahp 김밥)
and of course rice! bahp-밥
It may look complicated but it's quite simple. It does however take some prep time. But if you're cooking with a friend or loved one, it makes things a lot more enjoyable ;)
When you have everything together, roll tightly and slowly.
There are so many different types of Gimbahp out there and when you're making it at home you can put some personal tastes in there. Chicken, kimchi, fried pork cutlet, tuna and mayo and so much more!
Now that you've seen how it's done, you don't need to travel to Korea to try some of its' delicious food (although I think you should anyway hehe)

when I lived in Korea (I was in the Army and stationed there for 1 year) I tried a food called kimbop. Is this similar? Maybe just a different spelling?
