Khachapuri - Georgian Cheese Bread
Khachapuri is one of Georgia's main culinary traditions. This is bread whose dough is mixed with yoghurt and filled with various grated cheese and egg. Each variant is named after the province where it comes from. Kachachuri by Adjara is due to the fact that Adjara province is located on the Black Sea coast, where gondolas are often seen. Khachapuri is so important in the Georgian culinary heritage that variations in the cost of its production are used to measure inflation! The Institute of Economics at the State University of Tbilisi called it Hachapurri's index.
