Chinese Avocado Toast
Chinese Avocado toast! (I made that name up).
I'm a sucker for avocados. One of my all time favorite foods. They are just so creamy and tasty with the right touch (salt). I bought a few and made some toast as a quick snack.
As some famous entrepreneur said (don't remember who, and I am paraphrasing): “My advice to millennials for success: stop spending your money on avocado toast and do something productive instead.” Avocado toast is pretty expensive when offered/bought at a cafe.
I say: “Just make avocado toast and then do something productive.”
Take that with a grain of salt of course. I'm clearly not famous.
I didn't have all the ingredients and maybe some weird ingredients too. So here's what happened:
1 avocado
Quarter lime, squeezed for juice
Scallions, chopped (Cilantro is way better)
Salt and pepper
Toast
One of the easiest things you can ever make. Mash it all up and spread it on toast. Here's what I got:
I prefer cilantro with avocado, but I did not have it available. Still, it was very delicious. Since scallions are more of a Chinese thing, maybe I’ll call it Chinese Avocado Toast. I wonder if soy sauce fits somewhere in there…
Nah! But I did hear a friend of mine say that avocado + soy sauce tastes rather close to sashimi. Also, avocado and seaweed is a pretty great combination as they do with California Rolls. Toast + seaweed + avocado works too.
Unfortunately, avocados are rather expensive. I should move somewhere where avocados are cheaper or I can grow my own. That would be a delicious life. Dreaming of avocados.

Never tried Avocado. Looks really delicious tho. However, looking at the color of it I really need to get myself some Wasabi for my steaks next week.

That looks like a really delicious snack. Avacados are extremely cheap here in Florida.
Is it the Haas kind? I know of another avocado variant that is larger and more watery and I don't like those.
I don't like avacados. Well, actually I've not tried them for many years, perhaps its time to try one again. When we are fellow famous Steemit millionaires, I will make sure everyone knows you said these words and you will make avocados really popular (and maybe even more expensive):
@eonwarped We have an avocado tree in front of our house. When it's on season, we have lots and fresh picked. Not too greedy of course, we only get what is enough for us. We give some to our neighbors. ^^ If we were neighbors I'd definitely give you some. ^^

I was going to buy a house, but spending the money on avocado toast sounds much nicer. Looks delicious!
Avocados are a lot cheaper on the West Coast, where I'm living. I have heard that due to their increasing popularity, avocado growers are trying to expand to keep the price from going up too much and to meet demand.
That's thoughtful of them. I would have thought the opposite haha... Greedy growers expanding to make more money off the growing demand but at the same time increasing supply balances it out. Good thing there's not a monopoly....
I am not an avocado fan but I will upvote this because my wife is a big fan of them and she will enjoy making and trying this I am sure.
Looks delicious. We have a lot of avocados here in our country and sold very cheap. We have also one growing in your yard.
