Livestock Restaurant•Bar : A Heaven-on-Earth Place for Pork Lovers

It's always good to try new and different restaurants around the town so you get to know which one serves good food and which one do not deserve another try.

For someone like me who's very thrifty, I try not to eat often at restaurants especially when it's expensive, unless there is something to celebrate. But since I do love blogging about food and making reviews on restaurants, whenever there is an opportunity, I always try to grab it - like dining for FREE. Admit it or not, whenever we hear about anything that's labeled as "Free", it always sounds like music to our ears and our eyes sparkle more than it usually would upon seeing our crush. 😂

Okay. That's already so much for an introduction. Shall we proceed with the main purpose of this post? Today, I'll be doing a review about Livestock Restaurant.

Either you're craving for pork or you just want to chill and have a few drinks with your friends with some good food, consider this as an option.

Livestock is a heaven-on-Earth place for pork lovers. Once you get a hold of their gigantic menu, you'll realize that half of their menu is allocated to their pork specialties. In fact, each part of every pig's body part has a corresponding specialty in their menu.

The restaurant's Crispy Pata is also to die for! This is among their most famous specialty. The pork is so crispy on the outside that you can slice it with a popsicle stick yet, the inside meat remains tender and juicy. I actually have a high standards when it comes to Crispy Pata because I've already tasted the best(for me) - which is Jaime's Crispy Pata - but I must say that this could be comparable to that.

Last week, we ate at Livestock together with the whole Robotics team. We were given a budget for winning as 2nd place during the competition. We all agreed that the best option to spend our budget is to have a dinner at Livestock, which is just a few minutes walk from the office. This is perfect due to time constraints and budget wise.

We ordered two Crispy pata which is priced at P690 each, Livestock Crackling Pork Belly at 1kilo for P895, 2 orders of Sisig at P260 each and lastly, 2 salted egg rice plus 1 garlic rice that's good for 3-4 persons each platter. This is actually my second time to eat here and the food still tastes great.

Location and Ambiance

They have different branches but the one that I've tried is at 2nd level, Uptown Parade, BGC, Taguig. This one though is a lot smaller compared to its first branch in Quezon City. It's advisable to call for a reservation whenever you're planning to dine in with a big group because the seats are limited. But nonetheless, the ambiance inside is nice, and the restaurant has a rustic kind of setting.

Cost and Value for Money

Seeing it first, especially that it's located in Uptown Parade, I'm sure you'll think of it too as a restaurant which offers expensive food. But frankly, I think that this restaurant is budget-friendly. Their servings are abundant, and they're prices are reasonable. Their food is better when shared especially that their servings is always good for 2-3 persons.

Final Verdict

If I were to rate Livestock, I'd probably rate it 8/10. The food is served hot, the presentation is great and the tastes of the food are all good, your tastebuds will thank you. Their customer service is also really nice and prompt with our requests. Just a little warning to those who has high cholesterol, eat moderately as these foods contain high content of fat. 😜
