PINEAPPLE IN A POT!
Hello Steemians!
I would be sharing with you on how to grow Pineapple in a pot.
Being in a place where natural habitat for plants are improvised,
I need to think of something innovative so that I can grow plants.
I love to plant and grow anything at all.
So, this time I'll be talking about growing pineapple in a pot.
Five years ago, I experimented on growing a Pineapple.
I bought pineapple from the supermarket and decided to plant the crown in a pot.
The pot should be about 24" in diameter, deep and lots of soil.
I used mixed soil. Then planted the crown.
In a month time it already has roots and steady on the ground.
I documented its growth and these are the ones I'm sharing with you.
This is the latest yield I have this year!
It's really sweet and moist and I'm so happy of the outcome.
This Pineapple is 6 months old and for the next 6 months I will be waiting
for its fruit.
This is 9 months old.
I will be waiting for another three months to be able to harvest it.
This is 10th month old.
This now the ready to harvest stage.
I made it ripen first before I harvested it.
This a whole year expectation to be able to achieve this yield.
I harvested it!
Thank you very much for stopping by!
Enjoy!
ARE YOU SERIOUS????
What a marvel of life: Never ceasing to learn!!!! ;+)
Over the years, I have rooted a pineapple, which produces a beautiful ornamental. I never thought of it growing into a pineapple.
Now, granted, a year is a long time to wait for a harvest; but, waste not, want not. This is definitely a great tip to know.
It will be worth my time to do more research on growing a pineapple in a container.
Thanks for sharing!
Peace.
This is very good tip and as someone that like Pineapples , I really enjoyed seeing this tip-upped.

I'm glad you found it helpful. It's true after years of observations!
I love Pineapples that's why, I really made the efforts.
Have a great weekend!
You are welcome and more success to you.
Good for you! Not only are they pretty plants, a home grown pineapple is so much better than one from the supermarket! I'm lucky to live in Panama where they are grown locally and they are so good. I have some growing in my yard too.
Thank you very much @kristc for stopping by and leaving a comment.
Indeed, I'm a nature lover and love to plant anything that grows under the sun.
Well, so lucky for you having such a luxury to have a real space to grow.
