2016 bereisten wir zum zweiten Mal den Süden Afrikas. Nach Südafrika 2014 entschieden wir uns für eine Rundreise durch Namibia bis nach Botswana und Simbabwe. Bereits am dritten Tag der Reise landeten wir im verschlafenen Dorf Helmeringhausen, wo es laut Reiseführer im gleichnamigen Hotel den besten Apfelkuchen gibt.

In 2016, we traveled for the second time to the south of Africa. After South Africa in 2014, we decided on a round trip through Namibia to Botswana and Zimbabwe. Already on the third day of the journey we landed in the sleepy village of Helmeringhausen, where according to the travel guide in the hotel of the same name there are the best apple pie.

Die beiden weiteren Fotos entstanden wenige Tage später beim Abendessen in der Twyfelfontein Country Lodge. Die namibianische Küche ist sehr fleischhältig, geprägt durch die Vielfalt an Wildtieren wie Antilopen, Zebra, Strauß oder Krokodil.

The other two photos were taken a few days later at dinner at the Twyfelfontein Country Lodge. The Namibian cuisine is very meaty, characterized by the variety of wild animals such as antelope, zebra, ostrich or crocodile.
