The best beginning of Sunday (healthy syrniki)
Syrniki are perfect for breakfast.
Syrniki are fried quark pancakes, garnished with sour cream, varenya, jam, honey. Syrniki are made from creamy quark (tvorog in Russian), mixed with flour, eggs, and sugar, sometimes adding vanilla extract - not healthy enough for me, so I modified recipe to make syrniki low carb and gluten-free. In accordance with my recipe you need:
- 1-2 eggs 🥚
- 300-350 grams ricotta (Italian whey cheese) or quark (tvorog)
- 3 tbsp coconut flour🥥
- 1 tsp psyllium
- pinch of salt
- ghee butter (for frying)
Mix all the ingredients, form buns (as in the photo below)
Fry over medium heat
And voi la your low carb syrniki are ready 😋
