What Can Berries Do For You?

A number of epidemiological studies have previously suggested, that a diet that is rich in fruit is going to be a diet that provides a number of health benefits that can work to fight against different types of disease; like cancer and more.
Berries are said to be able to provide anticancer benefits and this is commonly attributed to their antioxidant and phytochemical properties.

Previous studies have shown that berries can provide both therapeutic and preventative effects as far as colon cancer goes, because the berries are said to help to suppress inflammation in the body. It's estimated that colon cancer is now responsible for the deaths of about 15 out of every 100,000 people. This variety of cancer has easily become one of the most prevalent diseases across not only the U.S., but the entire world.
Human studies have previously demonstrated that a regular consumption of berries can help to work against developing colorectal cancer, especially for those who are found to be high-risk individuals.
Other preliminary research in this area, from scientists at Ohio State University just a few years ago, also suggests that berries (strawberries specifically) have the ability to possibly prevent esophageal cancer. Other scientific literature suggests that blueberries can help to reduce oxidative stress and inflammation in the body.

There is a growing pool of evidence that supports the notion that berries can provide a variety of preventative agents that can possibly be effective as far as working to inhibit the onset/development of cancer and other illness/disease.
Berries like strawberry, blueberry, black raspberry, and others, are seen to have strong anti-inflammatory properties, among other benefits. And uncontrolled/chronic inflammation is what plays a major part in many diseases that millions of people suffer from today.
