The Housewife Recipe Book - Orange Scented Cake with Apple and pistachio!!! - Page 17
Hello my lovely Steemians!
It's been been quite some time that I did not send a recipe in The Housewife Recipe Book, but here I am for the 17th page of your favorite recipe book!
Today I will share with you a cake that I made this morning! A very easy and yummy one as usual!
As i had some apples sitting in the fridge, I decided to use them to make my Orange Scented Cake with Apple and pistachio!
To make this cake, I used the following :
- Flour
- Sugar
- Vanilla sugar
- Salt
- Baking powder
- Eggs
- Butter
- Orange zest
- Apples
- Milk
I started by mixing the butter with sugar and vanilla sugar!
Then I added the eggs and milk!
Finally I added the flour, baking powder, salt and orange zest.
I mixed till a smooth cake batter.
I pour the batter in a baking mold (half full) which I brushed with some butter.
Then I peeled and sliced the apples which I put delicately on the cake batter!
Once done, put to cook at 170 degrees for 40 minutes!
This is the result after the cooking time!
I glazed the cake with little warm honey and added some chopped pistachio on top!

The cake was really very delicious with a nice taste of the orange and caramelized apples on the top! This cake can stay for many days if stored in a cool dry place!

Apple and pistachio are perfect combo! It's perfect for an afternoon tea, yummy :-)
Yes they come well together, hahaha, me if i drink tea at night i couldn't sleep my friend, i prefer the cakes to eat in the morning with Moroccan tea, thank you for your support my dear, you are so kind.
