빅아일랜드 오하나 그릴 Jackie Rey's Ohana Grill at Big Island

빅 아일랜드 여정중 코나에 위치한 오하나 그릴 이라는 곳을 방문하였습니다. 빅아일랜드는 살면서 두번째로 방문하는 거지만, 처음에 갔을때는 워낙 어렸을때여서 아직 매우 생소한 곳입니다. ^ ^ 열심히 Yelp와 Google 검색을 하여서 찾은 곳인데, 리뷰가 정말 좋아서 기대가 정말 많이 되네요. ㅋㅋ

During my trip in Big island, I came across this place called Jackie Rey's Ohana Grill It's my second time visiting the island, but the first time when was when I was six years old, so might as well be my first time. I found this particular place after Yelping and googling to find the best of the best in town. We shall see if this place lives up to its fantastic reviews!

바로 이곳입니다~ 빅 아일랜드 서부의 카일루아 코나라는 도시에 있고, "continental cuisine with an island flair" 즉 하와이안 스타일의 양식을 파는곳이라고 하네요. ㅋㅋㅋ 이제 주문을 해야죠!

So this is the place! It is located in the west side, on a beautiful city of Kailua-Kona. On their website it says they servce "continental cuisine with an island flair"

메뉴입니다! 저는 개인적으로 이렇게 한눈에 주류, 애피타이저, 메인메뉴까지 한눈에 들어오는 메뉴가 정말 마음에 들더라고요! ㅋㅋ 메뉴를 둘러보고 다음의 3가지를 주문하였습니다~

This is their menu! I like these menus that I can understand in one glance! Can understand their menu compositions and drink menu without shuffling through million pages! After few minutes of studying the menu, I decided to order the following three.

음식 비쥬얼과 맛만 보아도 왜 유명한지 한방에 이해가 되는 곳이었습니다. 특히 Ahi Poke Tower가 정말 맛있었습니다. 플레이팅 부터 너무 색깔이 화려했고 식감또한 매우 좋았습니다. 중간에 wonton noodle을 튀긴것과 토마토 아보카도가 섞여있어서 물컹함과 바삭한 식감의 조화가 인상적이었습니다. 하와이에 있으면 poke를 정말 많이 먹게 되는데, 제가 살면서 먹어본 Poke중 여기가 정말 제일제일 맛있었던것 같네요!!! ㅋㅋ 여러분도 빅아일랜드 들르실 일이 있으면 꼭 가보시길 바랍니다. ><

Overall, the presentation and taste was fantastic. I would say this place definitely lives up to its reputation. Especially the Ahi Poke Tower was very memorable. One would come across and eat a lot of Poke in hawaii, but this one was quite different. The different textures(crispiness from the fried wonton noodles, and mooshiness from the tuna and avocado) and flavors(three different tropical drizzles) all worked together to create a playful and delicious harmony in my mouth. It was definitely the best poke I ever had in my life! If you guys ever have a chance to visit big island, this place is a must-visit!!!

이런 맛있는 음식에는 칵테일도 뺴놓을수 없죠? ㅋㅋㅋ
