Let's make a quick cherry cobblersteemCreated with Sketch.

I decided to make an easy and delicious cherry cobbler to use up the last of the cherries from my neighbors tree.  Earlier I made an easy cherry pie, pitted and froze a couple bags, made some cherry sauce for a cheese cake, and ate a bunch fresh.  This is a simple recipe that should take less than 30 minutes to prepare (plus baking time) and is absolutely delicious.

First we pull all our ingredients so we know we have everything we need. Cherries, lemon juice, sugar, corn starch, butter, flour, baking powder and milk or cream.

Place 6 to 9 cups of fresh pitted cherries in a sauce pan to fill it about 1/3. (I filled mine 1/2 with cherries and it boiled over, so be careful)

 Pour over the cherries

- 1 1/3 cup of sugar

- 3 tablespoons of cornstarch

- 1/4 cup of lemon juice

Mix together so the cherries are evenly covered.

Mix in a bowl (don't be afraid to use your washed hands)

- 2 cups flour

- 3/4 cup of butter

- 3/4 cup of sugar

- 2 teaspoons baking powder

Mix in 1 cup of milk or cream.

Spread out over top of the cherries. Leave a few breaks so the cherry juice can bubble up while it cooks.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. (If the uncooked cobbler fills the pan more than half way place the pan on a cookie sheet to catch the juice that will boil over while it bakes.)

Serve warm with your favorite topping like whipped cream or ice cream. It's really good!

That's all for now, thanks for taking a look. Please stick around for more.

Oh my! Bestill my heart...

@ckurtish Thanks for this delicious looking recipe. Can you use dried fruit that you rehydrate first? I have dehydrated figs and would love to make a fig cobbler.
