Sticky Toffee Popcorn
Great recipe for sticky toffee popcorn - Kids will love this on movie nights in.
This awesome recipe will make enough for 6 people, and will take around 15 mins to prepare and cook.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon of oil (sunflower)
60g of butter (salted)
85g of popcorn kernels
100g of brown sugar
2 tablespoons of golden syrup
Pop the corn
Add the oil and popcorn to a large lidded pan and swirl until the kernels are coated.
Leave on a low heat until all the kernels pop into fluffed popcorn - shaking the pan occasionally. Once all kernels have popped, turn off the heat.
Make the toffee mixture
Add the butter to a separate pan and melt gently.
Add the golden syrup and sugar to the melted butter and turn up the heat and allow the mixture to bubble for a couple of minutes.
Bring it together
Slowly pour the mixture over the popcorn, stirring as you pour to cover the popcorn evenly.
Yummylicious!!
Transfer the coated popcorn to another tray and allow to cool for 10 minutes before enjoying.
