This looks so good. I was just reading that you should soak quinoa before cooking it. There is a soapy coating on the quinoa that blocks the absorption of nutrients from the quinoa. I tried it and sure enough the water was all soapy. Have you ever tried that?

I never soak it but rinse it a few times to remove the saponins or soapy substance. Never had any issues so far but will try the soaking after rinsing and see if there is still some left. Thanks for the tip @chefsteve. Soaking will also initiate fermenting which will make the grains more digestible. How long did you soak them?
