"To the world you are a mother - but to your children you are the world"

My grand greenie ideas are being shelved in honour of all the sweet (like chocolate) mothers. So instead of sharing some amazing, power packed veggies currently flourishing in our vegetable gardens, I'm sharing some of my favourite AND healthy foods. Chocolate! What does chocolate have to do with health or veggies? Everything! The stuff we buy in a store today is very far from the original dark and bitter cacao drink. But with the real raw cacao - and other ingredients varying from avocado to coconut oil to nuts to moringa to sweet potatoes to dates - you can create delicious cakes, deserts or chocolate. They may taste decadent but they are choc full of nutrition!

These are some cyber Steemit samplers of raw cacao deserts which I have had the privilege of making to celebrate other wonderful women; mothers and grandmothers. So to celebrate this contest by @lenasveganliving on #fruitsandveggiesmonday here's a quick dark chocolate recipe. If you prefer sweeter increase the dates and decrease the cacao powder:

1/2 to 1 cup raw organic cacao powder
1 cup extra virgin organic coconut oil
1/2 to 1 cup depitted dates (soaked in a little water overnight)

Blend until smooth in a food processor. Spread in a tray and refrigerate. Then indulge!!
