The story of the cake is quite unique because its naming is based on the favorite cake of the German Confederate Emperor. Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria is told to love fluffy pancakes. However, the emperor preferred to eat it in a state of small pieces with the sweet cake fruit sauce that is called Kaiserschmarrn.
