  •  There’s no denying that what you eat has a serious effect on your mood, so it probably won’t surprise you that it can also impact on your sex life. Fruit and veg like strawberries and asparagus can really get the blood pumping, but there are some seriously damaging foods out there too.We’ve listed a few to stay clear of, just in case you were planning on getting lucky tonight.

Alcohol

 Lets be honest, this is a bit of a no-brainer really.Booze might help you feel more relaxed and confident chatting to people on a night out, but if you ever brought someone home in a in a worse-for-wear state, then it could fuck up your chances to impress in bed.

Too much alcohol dampens sexual desire, decreases arousal and sensitivity, and of course it may lower inhibitions leading to unsafe decisions about sex. 

 

Chocolate

 Out of all these foods, this one will definitely come as the biggest shocker.It’s the go-to choice for a cheeky romantic gift and is often thought as an aphrodisiac, but you might want to hold off the boxes of chocolate in the future.Apparently it can make women tired and less in the mood to get down and dirty and it contains chemicals which lowers men’s testosterone levels and their libido. In simple terms, avoid. 

 

Soy

 In yet another reason to not go vegan, apparently too much tofu or soy products can have a seriously negative effect on your hormone levels and therefore your sex life.For men, it can slash sperm levels and it messes with the ovarian function in women. 

 

Cheese

 If you’re out for a fancy romantic meal with your partner and it comes to your final course, you might want to ditch the cheeseboard in favour for something sweeter, that’s if you want to get lucky that night that is.The cow’s milk in cheese contains synthetic hormones, which can mess with both oestrogen and testosterone levels. 

 So, there you have it, if you want a decent sex life you really need to watch what you eat- though it’s easier said than done.

Awesome information. I have heard from many sources that soy shouldn't be in anyone's diet. Thank you for the article, but I wish to keep in chocolate and my occasional beer in my diet. Who am i kidding about sex. My old lady is in lockdown because I want to make more babies and she is very afraid. Lol
