"Yellow Rice(Nasi Kuning)" Delicious Traditional Food From Javanese(Indonesia) in just 3 Steps!!

Hello guys, Today i will show you how to make Yellow Rice a traditional food from Javanese, i know that spanish and some european country have yellow rice but i dont think its the same maybe the closest one is yellow rice from Malaysia or India. Yellow rice in Javanese culture is usually a food for a special occasions like wedding ceremony, ceremony for a birth of a child, ceremony for dead people, hotel foods or even big event like formal ceremony, Like many Indonesian food Yellow Rice have nice aroma and it have many good herbs that goods for your body, and i dont use any MSG because with all the ingredient it will be tasty already and of course Healthy!

Okay guys Lets get to the recipe! this recipe is for about 2 cups of rice or 330ml rice
Ingredients needed:
1.Salam Leaf/bay leaf (2 leaf/3 leaf)
2.Lemon grass (2 pcs)
3.Coconut milk
4.Small Tumeric(3 pcs)
5.Salt (2 teaspoon)
6.Pandan Leaf(optional)

How To Cook Yellow Rice

First Step, Wash the rice then peel the tumeric cut it to small pieces and then mash it into small crumbs give it water and keep filter it with water until the water turns yellow and become a bit thick,

Second Step,pour the tumeric water to the rice and then leave it for about 45 minutes-1 hour

Third step,After the rice turned yellow pour out the tumeric water(this is because if you use the tumeric water to cook the rice it will taste bitter and you wont want to eat tumeric crumbs), after that add just a little(half box like in the photo) coconut oil to the rice and put in the lemon grass and salam leaf/bay leaf.

After that just put in the salt,water then stir it and then put in the rice cooker and cook it.

Finished!! you have successfully made Yellow Rice! Yay! Its pretty easy actually, now you can eat yellow rice with Javanese fried chicken and noodles or fried fish and if you`re western people you can eat it with canned tuna. Good luck!
