Harrods Have Opened an Ice-Cream Parlour in Bangkok...& Its Awesome!

in #food7 years ago

When its over 40 degrees outside and sweltering humidity, Bangkokians often take refuge in one of the many shopping malls around the city for a bit of air-conditioned comfort. So it was, we found ourselves in the relatively new Em Quartier Mall and faced with the prospect of delicious cold ice cream from Harrods....It was impossible to walk past without stopping.

HARRODS ICE CREAM PARLOUR

You could be forgiven for thinking you were in London. The parlour is delightfully fitted out like the best one you would find on the London high Street, and the staff look very novel in their uniforms. But it is the desserts which really catch your eye. From mouth-watering cakes, to Sundaes and Ice-creams.

OUR ICE-CREAMS

There was a good selection of ice-cream flavours to choose from, and the staff were happy to give out sampler spoons to try the many different tastes. It was difficult to choose, and I'll definitely have to come back and try some more flavours, but today, we decided to try some of the more interesting ice-cream on offer.

We chose 2 waffle cones. One with "Earl Grey Salted Caramel" and the other with "Charcoal & Rose Lychee Ribbon". Both were served inside a paper-cone and held in a ice-cream cone holder. The presentation of everything here was amazing. As to be expected they tasted as good as they looked, and the price was actually comparable to many other ice-cream shops in the city. The ice-cream was sweet, creamy and delicious.
