Christmas Buffet at the W Hotel is Simply The Best ! (30+ photos)
You know the buffet is serious when they give each diner a map & the drinks section gets an entire room.
WELCOME TO THE W
It has become a yearly tradition as an ex-pat, that a group of us vagabonds far away from home get together each Christmas for a buffet lunch...and we have done this for the past 10 years. We have tried many of the big hotels in Bangkok including the Hilton, the Banyan Tree, and the Sheraton, however for the last 3 years we have booked our same table at the "W Hotel" because it simply can't be beat. it's not cheap at 4300 baht (US$120), but for that you get a breathtaking selection of 4 hours of incredible food and drinks. Plus you get the stylish and fun approach that is unique to the W. This is not a sombre high-society affair, but a party complete with DJ, kids dancing around and fresh, happy staff. It's a fun day!

THE SEAFOOD
The W doesn't skimp when it comes to the seafood, selecting the best seafood from around the World. It is the only time of the year when I see Alaskan King Crabs in Thailand, and these are usually frightfully expensive in a restaurant.

THE CARVERY
To say that the carvery was anything but sublime would be to do it an injustice. Simply the finest cuts of meat, cooked to perfection and then presented beautifully.

THE DESSERTS
I must have taken 100 pictures of the dessert bar alone. The colours in it were like something out of a dream. Christmas Trees made from strawberries and macaroons, chocolate, candy floss, whatever your heart desired. It must have taken many hours to prepare and present the desserts on offer.

We have W Hotel in Singapore but they don't welcome Pokemon Trainers.
