Summer Surpise
With the summer heat, comes the end of gardening season in the Valley of the Sun. Everything just gets toasted. For the first year at the new house the garden did pretty well. But there is a point you need to call it quits with the heat, and I did. 
The garden stopped producing, and there was not reason the waste water. One of the biggest disappointments this year was the sugar water melons. I did not get one, but when I stopped watering for some reason..... BOOM
I know have a total of 10 of them with more coming.
I don't know if I was over watering them, or if the aphid infestation on them died off with the heat. But hey what a nice surprise....
