"Quality Over Quantity"

in #food7 years ago

Let's attempt to consume organic, grass-fed, free-range beef and chicken as often as we can.

Always cook using safe pots and pans such as: ceramic, stainless steel, cast iron skillet.

Some of us have lost our way with food. We have shifted our attention on price, size and quantity instead of - organic, free range, nutrient dense food.

Another part of the problem with food is the fact that we have positioned ourselves, as a society mostly, to not have time to cook anymore. Too many people are relying on ready made, heat and eat, meals that are full of preservatives and carbohydrates. This can become a bad diet rather quickly.

People are consuming more "food like product" than they are consuming real food. This is also a major problem today. People would rather eat chips and drink sugary drinks rather than eat a salad or drink straight water.

Couldn't agree with you more. Very well said.

I'm on the ketogenic diet and the recommendation is to only eat grass fed beef. taste different then grain fed. Most of the grass fed beef I get is imported from Australia. Cost is not much more than domestic.

Because it's grass-fed. It's basically organic.

Yes grass-fed is the way to go. The organic part is just an extra boost in the animals health. But just grass-fed should be good enough.

Thanks for the tips :)
