Sounds strange, but tastes surprisingly good.
Klingt zwar komisch, schmeckt aber überraschend gut.

Lime yoghurt sorbet with basil /Limetten-Joghurt Sorbet mit Basilikum

The idea of using vegetables or herbs in a dessert is nothing new. In spite of everything, it still frightens some people off. But once you get involved, most people will be pleasantly surprised by the interesting note of your dessert.

Der Gedanke Gemüse oder Kräuter in einer Süßspeise zu verwenden ist schon lange nichts neues mehr. Trotzallem schreckt es den ein oder anderen immer noch ab. Doch wenn Ihr euch einmal darauf einlasst werden die meisten positiv überrascht sein welche Interessante Note euer Dessert damit bekommt.

Here is a recipe I put together.

Hier mal ein Rezept welches ich mir zusammen gefriemelt habe.

Zutaten:
1/2 Bund Basilikum
400ml frisch gepresster Limettensaft
200g Joghurt natur
140g Zucker
70g Glukose
1 Blatt Gelatine

Die Basilikumblätter vom Stängel trennen und zusammen mit dem Joghurt und der Hälfte des Saftes fein mixen. Den restlichen Saft zusammen mit dem Zucker und der Glukose erwärmen, bis sich der alles aufgelöst hat. Nun die zuvor eingeweichte und ausgedrückte Gelatine in die warme Masse geben und darin auflösen. Alles etwas abkühlen lassen und mit dem Basilikum-Joghurt vermischen.
Nun die Masse in einer Eismaschine frieren.

Ingredients:
1/2 bunch basil
400ml freshly squeezed lime juice
200g yoghurt natural
140g sugar
70g glucose
1 sheet of gelatine

Separate the basil leaves from the stem and mix them together with the yoghurt and half of the juice. Heat the remaining juice together with the sugar and glucose until it dissolves. Now add the previously soaked and squeezed out gelatine into the warm mixture and dissolve in it. Allow to cool slightly and mix with the basil yoghurt.
Now freeze the mass in an ice cream machine.
