Easy snack idea

Often, we have a craving for something light and delicious but we run out of ideas on what to eat. We want something that will taste good, as well as be a healthy option. We tend to just have a packet of chips or eat a chocolate out of laziness to actually make a snack. However, I will be sharing an easy and quick idea on how to make a perfect snack to kill the craving. It is a healthier option than chips and chocolate and it is delicious. 

If you crave for a packet of chips but want a healthy alternative, try homemade zucchini substitute chips! All you do is slice the zucchini into rings, throw some Cajun spice and coat them with bread crumbs. Thereafter, bake it in the oven for a bit. Have a dip on the side, made with either plane yogurt and herbs or fresh cream. I personally love zucchini, so for me it makes an excellent snack!

If you are craving something sweet but don't want an unhealthy chocolate, try a homemade snack bar. All you do is mix your favorite nuts (almonds, flex seeds, sunflower seeds, etc., some dry fruit and mix them into honey to become hard.  This is easy, healthy and delicious! 

I've tried both these snacks and I really enjoy it. I always look for an healthier option. It is less fattening and gives you energy instead of draining your energy like a heavy bag of chips would do. Once in a while, it is nice to have an unhealthy treat, but for an everyday snack, always look out for a healthy alternative.
